Lana Del Rey (geb. 21.06.Juni 1985 in New York als Elizabeth Woolridge Grant) ist eine Sängerin, Songschreiberin und Musikproduzentin aus den USA. Ihren Künstlernamen wählte sie nach dem Ort Delray Beach in Florida. Die Musik wird den Genres Dream Pop, Barock Pop und Indie Pop zugeordnet. Ihre musikalische Karriere begann im Alter von 17 Jahren. Am Anfang trat sie unter mehreren Pseudonymen (z.B. May Jailer, Lizzy Grant) mit Gitarre oder mit kleinem Ensemble in verschidenen New Yorker Clubs auf. 2010 kam ihr 1. Album "Lana Del Rey a.k.a Lizzy Grant" auf den Markt - allerdimgs ohne Erfolg. Im 2011 veröffentlichte sie dann unter dem Namen Lana Del Rey die Single "Video Games" und 2012 das 2. Album "Born To Die". Die Single und das Album wurden zum internationalen Mega-Erfolg (Das Album Nr. 1 in Deutschland, England, USA usw.), womit ihr der interenationale Durchbruch gelungen war. 2014 wurde das 3. Album "Ultraviolence" veröfentlicht. Dieses sollte nach Lana Del Rey's Aussage gegenüber dem Vorgängeralbum "etwas reduzierter", "filmisch und düster" sein sollte. Wir überprüfen das heute einfach mal und spielen "Ultraviolence" in AAS. Am 30. August 2019 erscheint im übrigen ihr neues und insgesamt 7. Album "Norman Fucking Rockwell!".
